VCCI
The VoluntaryControl Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment isJapan's EMC certification mark. It is not mandatory but the informationtechnology products sold in Japan are usually required for VCCI certification.Manufacturersshould first apply for membership of VCCI before they can use the VCCI logo.Inorder to obtain VCCI approval, the EMI test report provided must be issued by atesting institution registered with VCCI. Japan has no immunity standards atpresent.
VCCI certificationprocess
1. The manufacturer or agentpresents oral or written preliminary application to the certification company.
2. The applicant fills in theapplication form and sends the application form, User manual and technicaldocuments to the certification company (if necessary, a sample of product isrequired from the applicant company)
3. The certification company makesplans and quotes.
4. The applicant confirms thequotation, returns the quotation, and sends the samples and related technicaldocuments to the certification company.
5. Provides technical documents.
6. The certification company sendsthe fee notice to the applicant, and the applicant prepaid the certificationfee according to the fee notice.
7. The certification companyreviews the technical documents and organizes relevant certificationactivities.
8. If the technical document isincomplete or does not use the required language, the certification companywill notify the applicant to improve it.
9. If the test is not up tostandard, the certification company will notify the applicant promptly anddecide whether to suspend the project according to the situation, allowing theapplicant to improve the product. The applicant should change the technicalinformation in the original application so as to reflect the actual situationafter the change.
10. Thecertification fee will be issued to the applicant by the certification feeinvolved in the nintharticle of this page.
11. Theapplicant shall pay the rectification fee according to the supplementary feenotice.
12. Thecertification company provides test reports or technical documents to theapplicant, as well as VCCI compliance certificate.
