PSE
PSE is a mandatory safety certification inJapan.To prove that the electrical and electronic products have passed theJapanese electrical and raw material safety act(DENAN Law) or IEC's safety standard test. Japan's DENTORL Act (ElectricalEquipment and Material Control Act) stipulates that 498 products must passsafety certification when entering the Japanese market. Among them, the 165class a products should get the diamond PSE logo, and the 333 B products shouldget the circular PSE logo.
Example of PSE certification
1.Plugand wire
In general, ifthe manufacturer's product is a plug power cord, then the plug, power cord bodyand connector must have a diamond PSE logo. The size of the plug must conformto the Japanese standard.
2.Electric shaver
According to the mode of power supply,electric shavers are usually divided into three categories.
①Dry Battery Powered; ②Rechargeable battery powered and shipped with charger③Ac power supply.
For these three types of electric shavers,the Japanese government has the following three different management methods.
Dry battery powered shaverdo not need to be labeled with PSE mark.
The charger ofthe second kind must belabeled with PSE diamond. PSE circular logo on shaver.
PSE circular logo should be marked on theshaver with AC power supply.
