NYSEANCE
NOM (NormasOficialesMexicanas),is a mandatory safety symbol forMexico.NOM labeling is applicable to most products, includingtelecommunications and information technology equipment, household electricalappliances, lamps and other products with potential health and safety hazards.Products manufactured or imported locally in Mexico shall comply with therelevant NOM standards and product labeling requirements.
Under Mexican law, NOM must be licensed by a Mexican companyresponsible for the quality, maintenance and reliability of its products.Testing reports are issued by laboratories approved by SECOFI and audited bySECOFI, ANCE or NYCE. Certificates are issued to Mexican representatives of themanufacturer or exporter if the product meets the requirements of the relevantregulations, so that the product can be labeled NOM.
There are two verification units in Mexico which can issue NOMMark.
NOMNYCE: Validation covers all electronic and information productsand data processing equipment, excluding household appliances (except microwaveovens)
NOMANCE: validation covers all electrical appliances and similarproducts (such as home appliances).
Not applicable to IEC standard and NOM standard.
No need to do EMC test.
Technical information
1. Mexico voltage is 127V/60Hz
2. The plug is the same as the American plug. One is ClassI withthree connectors, the other is ClassII with two connectors. The plug will betested together with the device itself.
Certificate
The certificate is valid for one year, and the certificate can berenewed annually.
When a certificate is updated, a product should be sampled from themarket in advance, so that it can be sent to the laboratory for testing.
Product packaging should contain the following information: productname, brand name, type and NOM verification mark.

An additional document for a sample importer or distributor.
The photocopy of the company's power of attorney. The photocopy ofthe company's uniform number.
Authorized information (PowerofAttorney)
Legal proxy for official documents.
Letter paper bearing the name of the company.
Photocopy of the registration company with tax proof
Audit duration
5-6 weeks after the filing of all documents, the originalcertificate and report will be sent to the
local agent in Mexico once the NOM application is completed. Theoriginal application company will receive a faxed copy of the originalcertificate and report as a reference for future inspection.
